Kalenga Augustine Mulenga
My name is Kalenga Augustine Mulenga aka K.A. Mulenga. I started writing when I was 10 years old and my passion was reignited by my 11-year-old son in 2020. To date, I have self-published 32 children's books.
My short story, Striving To Be Number One won a Creative Writing Contest in April 2021.
Chuck the Cheetah recently won second prize at the Coppa Book Awards in the Children’s
Books category.
I also received an Honorary Award for my 3 books Chuck the Cheetah, Drew the Dragon and Harry the Honest Horse from ACYTIN (African Child Your Time Is Now)

When you're working on a book and a new idea pops up, should you pursue it immediately (also known as 'UP syndrome') or finish your current project first? What do you think is the best course of action?I am a children's books author so when a new idea for a book pops up, I write the whole manuscript in a day. I am methodical so the new book will go to the back of the queue while I complete my current project.View More
