Which character do you enjoy writing the most as a writer and why? If choosing a favorite character is like choosing a favorite child, which character do you find requires the most attention and detail from you as a writer?

That is a tough question since I like all my characters, but Jason Patrick, the man who came up through the ranks and is now Special Forces, Colonel Jason Patrick. He's a family man as well and writing about him brings depth to the stories.

What are some books or authors that you would recommend to our readers?

If you are a history buff, "The Rise and Fall of the Third Riech" is a piece of our history, in a time we should never forget. "Dune" by Frank Herbert is outstanding if you like the Sci-Fi fantasy thing. "Precious Things, and The Stand" by Stephen King is a classic in print, and also the movie versions.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?

Sometimes, I like the TV on when I write.

As an author, what critique has been the most challenging for you to receive? On the other hand, what compliment has been the most rewarding?

Great question, I have had some nasty people who are jealous, or something. They wrote  2 star reviews on a professionally edited and formatted story rated 4.8 stars. Not only that but by their remarks, they did not even read the story.

On the other hand, there has been high praise, so many honest, well-respected reviewers and readers like my books. It keeps me writing for more.

To date, what is your favorite (or most difficult) chapter you have ever written?

The end of my first book Bullets and Bandages: Bond of Brothers was a tough one. It was back and forth with my editor and finally, the thoughts came to me on how to end it. It came out so well, it is a story where the end of the book takes you back to the beginning, rather unique.

What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

I work around the house, enjoy a good movie, travel or go to the gym.

Was there anything you had to research for the book?

Yes, research is needed, even though I write fiction, there's a lot of research that goes on to make things as realistic as possible. I have found even more research is required such as the proper way to address certain characters, protocol and so on when I write the Military/Political thrillers for the Bond of Brothers stories.
