Share some advice for aspiring authors. What advice would you give to your younger self?1. What is your favorite line from your book?

Aim for a plot that evokes emotion - whether excitement, fear, sadness, or joy. An emotional connection can make your story memorable. One of my favorite lines from my book A Dangerous Love Spindle is "Reality had punched her in the gut with ruthless force."

Have you ever experienced writer’s block? How did you deal with it?

I experienced writer's block a couple of times. I dealt with it by walking through nature and embracing my beautiful surroundings.

What can we anticipate from you moving forward?

Moving forward, I start with a new fantasy story in book format. And I also intend to pitch for an animation short film in India.

How long did it take you to write this book?

My book A Cunning Liaison took me two years to write. A Dangerous Love Spindle took me a year.

Do you listen to music while you write? If so, what kind of music do you like to listen to?

I sometimes listen to music when I write, classical or easy listening.

Are any of the characters in your book based on people in your real life? If so, can you tell us more about that process and how it influenced your writing?

A Cunning Liaison is based on my own true story. People, places, and events are fictionalized. Years ago, my husband and I moved to Spain to set up a holiday rental business. Not in our wildest dreams could we ever imagine the mind-blowing events that followed. For the first time in our lives, we dealt with mafia practices, intimidation, and death threats. We ended up fighting through the Spanish legal system. Together with a group of other foreigners, we became entangled in a cycle of endless war with a power-hungry Spanish family. Writing about our experiences helped me to carry on.
