Karin Jensen is dedicated to crafting stories that provide young readers with knowledge,
positivity, and a sense of wonder. With a background steeped in education, she has spent her life nurturing young minds and encouraging them to explore beyond the boundaries of their familiar world of home, school, and community.
Karin has lived and taught on four continents and has traveled to over one hundred countries. A global nomad, she immerses herself in diverse cultures, forging friendships with locals, and weaving their captivating coming-of-age tales into her narratives. She hopes that her authentic storytelling serves as a bridge between cultures, fostering mutual understanding among people from all walks of life.
With her series of coming-of-age stories from little-known cultures she endeavors to pass on the astonishment she experienced when she found out that no matter how different a way of life may be, there are certain values at the base of all human interaction. Her tales are accompanied by photography, recipes, a questionnaire, introduction to currency, etc. This way she hopes to build bridges to other cultures.

    1. Your book introduces readers to the captivating world of Mongolian nomadic culture. What sparked your interest in and passion for sharing little-known ways of life?
    My fascination with diverse cultures began in childhood, when I stumbled upon an old National Geographic magazine featuring the tree houses of Papua New Guinea. I was instantly transfixed by this glimpse into a way of life so different from my own. It sparked an insatiable curiosity about the myriad ways humans adapt to their environments and create meaning.As I grew older and began to travel, I realized how much richness and wisdom exists in cultures that often go overlooked by the wider world.
