Anjali Paul

Anjali Paul is of Indian origin. She was born in India and went to the U.K. at the age of nine, after having lived in several other countries. She grew up in England, U.K.

Anjali has a B.A. Honours Degree in English Literature, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Film-Making. She is fully qualified to teach any subject within her realm of expertise to adults in further education.

She always wanted to be a writer, so she spent many years developing her talent and learning the craft of writing. She learned how to write in the old-fashioned way — by spending large amounts of time living on the poverty line while spending all her time writing. She learned about life, she learned about people, she learned about herself, and she learned how to write. She hopes you enjoy reading her work, which comes straight from her heart.

At the age of 24 Anjali was in a fire and suffered third degree burns. Extensive skin grafts left most of her body badly scarred, and she bears those scars to this day. It is said that "accidents are no accident" and she found this out for herself when she embarked on her eventful spiritual journey.

She experienced her first Kundalini Awakening at the age of 35. It was life-shattering. She did not know what had happened to her — and neither did anyone else in her world — so she spent the next twenty-five years on a spiritual quest to find out. She was guided, and her spiritual journey led to her unearthing the secrets of Kundalini, the Chakras, and Tantra. In that time, she fought many of her own demons — and won. She became a classically trained, twice-certified Teacher of the Theory, Practice and Philosophy of Yoga and Meditation; and became a Reiki Master Healer and Teacher. She is also a Pranic Healer, and a Vibrational Healer.

Which character do you enjoy writing the most as a writer and why? If choosing a favorite character is like choosing a favorite child, which character do you find requires the most attention and detail from you as a writer?
I enjoyed writing about Nick, the hero of The Master. He is a complex yet likeable man, who has successfully overcome the extreme trauma of his childhood and youth. Instead of becoming bitter, he decides to go for justice by helping children who had suffered as he did.
