I started writing for the public audience in January 2015. Since then, my writing has expanded to bigger and better opportunities such as drastic writing changes (for the better) winning awards and certificates, becoming a published author, but then transitioning to a self-published (by choice). I've had some rocky times during my writing journey, but those rocks didn't stop me from progressing! I made a big comeback after publishing my first book entitled Ghost in the Supernatural in January 2015. The book received harsh criticism and bad reviews, which caused me to unpublish the book. But after the disappointing experience, I took the book and made it better. The title and contents made a huge turn around developing into one of best sellers.
Tell us what you enjoy most about writing [genre].
I enjoy writing mostly fiction in multi-genre writing such crime, mystery, thriller, suspense, and horror. Why? Because I enjoy 'creating and making believable stories'. I enjoying creating stories some readers will relate to, enjoy, and find appealing. I want them the delve into my creative imagination and soar with me.
What have you found to be most challenging about writing in [genre]?
What I've find to be most challenging about writing is writing a great story. Although this may be a huge challenge, I also realize that not every reader is going like our story, no matter how good we think it is. One of the greatest notions about this is not every reader has the same taste in reading preference. While one reader may love our story, the next reader may dislike our story. In my opinion, although book reviews are very helpful, I think they are just others' opinions on books, which doesn't make how they feel a rightful fact.
Do you identify with your main character or did you create a character that is your opposite?
Yes, I can definitely identify with my main character. In fact, I become all of my characters as well as my main character. In other words, I have the ability to become each of my characters in all of my books by switching my personality to fit the personality of my characters.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Yes, one of my unusual writing habits is researching what I'm going to write, whether I'm writing fiction or nonfiction. While this my not be an 'unusual habit' some writers when writing fiction tend not to research their works. I believe in adding a little nonfiction research inside my fiction, making it worth the while. It makes my stories more believable and realistic to the readers.
Have you ever experienced writer’s block? How did you deal with it?
No. Fortunately, I have never experienced writer's block in my like.
Did you have any say in the cover design?
Yes, I create and design all of my book covers.
How long did it take you to write this book?
Depending on the plot and direction of my story, it take anywhere from a month to six months to write my books. I don't write long books, but again, it depends on the plot and direction of my story. Sometimes, I may drop a book I'm working on for a few months to a year to some years, then go back and pick it up with fresh ideas. It depends on my mood, structure, efforts, and time.
