When you're working on a book and a new idea pops up, should you pursue it immediately (also known as 'UP syndrome') or finish your current project first? What do you think is the best course of action?

Take notes on the idea but keep on plugging on.

Which character do you enjoy writing the most as a writer and why? If choosing a favorite character is like choosing a favorite child, which character do you find requires the most attention and detail from you as a writer?

Jaxyl, Warrior Princess, the FMC in the second book.

Can you explain your writing process? Do you prefer to create an outline and plan beforehand, or do you prefer to write more spontaneously and organically?

Spontaneously is the only way I wouldn't bore myself to death. They call this being a pantser, or writing by the seat of your pants.

What are some books or authors that you would recommend to our readers?

Ursula Le Guin, Neil Gaiman, Sarah J. Maas, Andy Weir

Tell us what you enjoy most about writing [genre].

Everything, disappearing into the story. Writing fantasy is like reading it on steroids.

Have you been able to incorporate your previous experience in [jobs/education] in your writing?

Why would I want to do that?

Describe the [book/series] in 10 words or less for people who are just learning about it.

fast-paced feminist romance/adventure, filled with riveting love scenes, strange languages, and triumphant battles.

Would you like readers to have any specific takeaway from your book?

Yes, the book should change their life just like any good book would.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?

Yes, I don't write everyday and my best work comes out when my characters nag me.

As an author, what critique has been the most challenging for you to receive? On the other hand, what compliment has been the most rewarding?

One reviewer called Two Moons "a masterpiece of Fantasy literature."

Share some advice for aspiring authors. What advice would you give to your younger self?1. What is your favorite line from your book?

Advice to aspiring authors: Unless you are passionate about writing to the point of obsession, find other interests.

Advice to my younger self: "Don't worry be happy,"--Bobby McFerrin.

"Worry won't add one minute to your life."-- Jesus Christ."

"Don't ever refer to me as a breeder again."  Aadya

Have you ever experienced writer’s block? How did you deal with it?

"I don't want to go to rehab, no, no, no. I cater to my ADHD, avoid being tire, angry, hungry or alone, and it all works out.

What are you reading right now?

Covenant of Water, I think it's overrated.

What can we anticipate from you moving forward?

I'm about to release the second book in a fantasy trilogy. The first book, Two Moons of Merth, tells of the royal Karda family on the planet Merth.  The second book soon to be released is Jaxyl, Warrior Princess, which continues the feminist themes. The third and final book in the series explores spiritual themes with parallels to the idea of a female "Christ" figure.

Do you have any movie or tv adaptations in the works?

I wish, but someday someone will see this wonderful trilogy and scoop it up.

How long did it take you to write this book?

a little over a year.

Do you listen to music while you write? If so, what kind of music do you like to listen to?

Rarely, maybe a little classical or John Two Hawks.

What other hobbies do you have outside of writing?

walking, reading, outdoor activities, kayaking and sailing

Do you have any personal connection to the story or characters?

Other than typing up what the characters wanted to share, no.
