    When sacred Eleusis comes under threat, Miones, the Lord-Protector of the region, mounts a harrowing defense. The polis is besieged by infidels, and soon starvation looms for the many who are gathered there seeking refuge. Miones tries to keep those at Eleusis safe from harm; this happens to include his very own family. It all is set against a backdrop, where Zeus is fated to be pulled down, from off of His throne, and replaced. While the Olympians seek to keep their high positions, an enigmatic magus has other plans.
